Railway Infrastructure Monitoring Framework (RIMF) – Apollo Framework

Project funded by the CDTI with a grant from the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, with file IDI-20240423. The Apollo Framework project has obtained the Eureka label under the name 2023-20194/NP/OPEN CALL/RIMF.

Project in international consortium with ApoSys Technologies Canada, with the collaboration of Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) and the Canadian Centre for Climate Modelling and Analysis (CCCma).

The general objective of the project is the design and development of a tool based on Artificial Intelligence algorithms for inspection using satellite images that implements preventive maintenance, real-time supervision, remote inspection and data-based decision support for railway infrastructure.

The Apollo Framework project integrates the capture and management of large amounts of digital data, including infrastructure auscultations, environmental data, high-definition satellite images, surrounding assets, underground mapping and existing IoT data, whose processing through the use of data-based approaches and Artificial Intelligence algorithms allows to improve current knowledge in the evolution of risks, the prediction of status trends and the development of adaptation plans and practices for rail transport, especially in areas affected by extreme climate change.

Place and deadline exactution: Andalusia (Spain), from July 2024 to December 2026.

Consortium: Azvi & ApoSys Technologies Canadá.
